FaceBook Status: What is Love?
It was a chaotic night to say the least. In fact, we didn’t even get to the actual big points that fill the blanks of our bulletin. But, really interesting discussions happened. it was a good night.
We talked about how big the word love is. As we look at Facebook, relationships, how we treat our boyfriends, girlfriends, parents, and even our friends. Are you careful with your feelings and are we aware of the amazing the word love is? Do we consider what it means to really love someone? If you missed it take a look what the bible says about love. Check out 1 Corinthians 13. Are we measuring up?
Here is the bulletin that we never even got too. Take a look at it and consider if you are ready for relationships. If we want to be a good husband or wife someday we need take the word love seriously. As someone who is married I need to be constantly reminded of this because I have been known to forget this. I take 1 Corinthians pretty seriously and it doesn’t hurt to be reminded what the word love means.
Take some time a look at the Chaos Bulletin.
Also, here are questions we started to go over in small group. Small Group Questions…
Next week, we are going to keep the conversation going!!! don’t miss out…
Chaos Moment of Zen: 25 Things I Hate About Facebook…
Project Serve: Fundraiser for Lauren!
Hey High Schoolers! We need your help tomorrow night from 5pm-930(ish). Lauren Ragan and her mom have this awesome opportunity to go to Poland and help run a VBS for Missionary kids while their parents are at a conference. The problem? It is crazy expensive to fly over to Poland. Who knew?
So one solution the Ragan’s had was to have a parent’s night out and raise money through donations. Great idea! So we have kids showing up at 530pm but it would be awesome if we, as a Youth Group, could also show up and support Lauren by hanging out with kids. The more helpers the easier the job! So show up and support the Ragans!
When: Saturday (2/11/12)
Where: EBC (children’s center)
Time: 5pm-930(ish)
Cost: Free! we are raising money for the Ragans (duh)
Reminder: Chaos Canceled Tonight!!!
Please remember and remind others that we don’t have Middle School Youth Group tonight because we have a Leader Meeting. We have a ton of new leaders and we need to take a moment and make sure we are all on the same page for the next few months.
We will be back with a vengeance next week when we talk about ‘relationships’ and play a little game called Smuggler!

Did You Know…
We are getting ready for the SuperBowl and the High School Youth Group has party plans as I’m sure most of us do. We enjoy the game, the commercials, the spectacle and being with friends and family.
But, did you know that the SuperBowl is considered one of the largest sex trafficking moments or day in the United States every year?

Super Summit this Saturday!
This is a reminder for the Super Summit Saturday. We have had one of these already and I really thought it went well. So come out and help us as we think through what we are doing and build a calendar that reflects where, as a group, want to go. I will come into the meeting with some ideas and with at least 2 months worth of teaching topics. These will not be set in stone. Here are topics I want to cover and you to think about.
Route 56-I will have a basic teaching plan for the next two months so we need to consider worship songs, possible dramas, and special events. Can we do some unique things on Sunday mornings? Should we consider having a special Route 56 event outside of Church? if where?
Chaos- I will have a teaching plan for this as well. Are there other topics we should cover? One question to ask is What does the bible say about…and fill in the blank. Can we do anything new? if so what? I am looking for new teachers and leaders as well as someone to help run games.
Elevate-Again, I will have some teaching topics but I am open to other ideas. What are events we can do?
Service Projects-if you have an idea then please start doing some research and bring in a well developed idea. don’t just say, we should build an orphanage in Africa. Ask questions such as is there an organization that can help us, how much do we need to raise, what country, how can best support this need? What are things we can do here locally?
When: February 4th @ noon
Where: EBC Youth Room
Who: 7th grade and up (parents are welcome)
