High School Invitations…
Hey High Schoolers!
We are doing some different things in the coming 2 weeks so you need to have the 411 and so do your parents! So, here we go…
Saturday Night (1/28/12)
I am inviting anyone who is interested to join me at the Xenia Christian Basketball game. We have a number of peeps involved including Jason Holloway, Noah Larson, Alicia Dodson, Morgan Phillips, and a few others and it would great to come out and support them as a Youth Group.
When: 7pm
Where: Xenia Christian Gym
Cost: I think $6 or $7 bucks to get in.
Sunday Night (1/29/12)
We have been invited by Joel Gibbs to see him to the teaching at his Youth Group in Huber Heights. For those that don’t know Joel, he is a friend of the Lindsay Twins & Lauren Ragan. He came with us to Velocity last year and has come to Youth Group a few times including our New Years Eve party.
We will meet at the church at 4pm with the hope of getting on the road by 415pm. His Youth Group starts at 5pm. We will be heading to First Christian Church of Huber Heights. (FCCHH) 6114 Fishburg Road, Huber Heights, OH. 45424. I would plan on being back before 8pm.
This is a cool opportunity for 2 reasons. (1) to go and support Joel which is a great reason. (2) It’s always good to see other Youth Groups to see what they do and how they do it. Are there things we can adopt to make our Youth Group better?
When: 4-8pm (ish) we will call when we get close to home if you need rides. EAT BEFORE YOU COME!!!

Super Bowl Sunday
Next week is the Super Bowl and again we have been invited by the Jero’s to partake in the game at their home. We had a really good time last year so we figured we would go for two! So, there will be no ‘official’ Youth Group but we will be watching the game with the Jero’s. There will be ping pong battles considering nobody wants to see Madonna’s halftime show.
If you need a ride meet at the church at 615pm. If not, just meet at the Jero’s

Where: Casa de Jero
Cost: Bring some food or pop to share.

We have the Xenia High School Basketball Dinner tonight! This is a great chance to serve our community! Don’t miss out…

Chaos Canceled: Leader Meeting
We will be canceling Tuesday Night Chaos on February 7th so the Leaders can get together and reGroup. We have a number of new leaders coming on board and we need get them up to speed on what we do and why we do it. Also, we need to plan the next 3 months.

High School SuperBowl Party!
We had a great time last year watching the Superbowl at the Jero’s house so we decided to continue the tradition. So, if you are looking for a fun place to watch the game and some fun people to hang with then come out to the Jero’s house on Sunday night February 5th.
Bring some chips, cookies, pop, or whatever food items you like to munch while watching a game!
High School ‘Huh’?…
Why are students leaving the church after High School? There isn’t an easy answer to the question but we started this series by talking about qualities we see Jesus wanting in his prayer in John 17:13-21. We are going to tackle some tough questions such as ‘is the bible true’, ‘is there a God’, ‘what do we do with doubt’, etc.

Men’s Game Nite Canceled…
In case you didn’t know, EBC has a Men’s Game Night (High School and older) the third friday of every month. Xbox, Pizza, and hanging out to the wee hours of the morning.
Unfortunately, we seem to finally be getting some winter weather tonight and it was decided that it might be little to crazy on the roads so we need to cancel. We will let you know whether we will reschedule it or wait for next month.
SO DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE CHURCH TONIGHT!!!
